My son swells like a balloon from mosquito bites. When I used the suction pump on him, the swelling went down almost immediately.

  • Nicole R. - Ohio

I sent both of my children to camp with one. I thought it would be good because it doesn't melt, it doesn't expire, and it's small. It was perfect for them to treat themselves and avoid having to go to the nurses station for cream.

How does the Bug Bite Thing work?

The suction pump removes insect venom & saliva (mosquitoes) that is left beneath the skin's surface to immediately stop the pain and itch from insect bites. By removing the irritant, the body stops producing the reaction that causes itching and swelling.

Does Bug Bite Thing use or need batteries?

No. It is a manual suction pump that you can use over and over again. You have complete control over the amount of suction you apply.

Does it contain any chemicals or needles?

No Chemicals. No Needles. Just Suction.

What types of bites & stings does it work on?

Mosquitoes, Bees, Wasps, Black Flies, Fire Ants, Bed Bugs & other biting insects. If you think you may be having a sever reaction, seek medical attention immediately.

How quickly do I have to use Bug Bite Thing after a bite or sting?

Best results are obtained when the Bug Bite Thing is used within the first two minutes of a bite or sting. However, it may still have an effect even if you use hours or days after. The longer the poison is inside the body, the more of a reaction you may have and the harder it will be to remove. Carry one with you at all times so you are always prepared.

Why can't I get a good suction?

If you are using over an area with body hair, wet down the area first before you apply the pump. If you are using over a smaller bite or location, reverse the cap to use the smaller side suction cap.

Why can't I see the removed poison?

Certain insects leave behind such a small amount of saliva/venom that may difficult to see. This is often the case with Mosquitoes.

How should I clean the Bug Bite Thing?

You can remove the reversible suction cap where the poison is drawn in, and rinse it with soap and water. It may also be sanitized with alcohol wipes. Avoid getting water in the pump portion or it may lose its suction ability.
